The Mile Zero Murders investigates the baffling wave of disappearances and murders in the small town of Dawson Creek, B.C., a community struggling with a deadly local drug trade. Host Timothy Sawa explores missing person cases like that of Cole Hosack and Renee Didier, pursuing leads from grieving families, reluctant authorities and the drug dealers themselves. What listeners will find here
From Olympian to alleged kingpin: a true-crime series with international reach
Ryan Wedding’s story moves from Olympic snowboarding to allegations of leading a deadly international drug trafficking empire. This trailer sets up a globe-spanning investigation into his rise, the murders tied to his name, and the effort to bring him to justice.
A daylight murder, an airtight alibi, and a case that still doesn’t add up
This episode introduces the 1980s killing of Scott Macklem in Port Huron, Michigan, and the baffling case that followed. Journalist Josie Duffy Rice traces a murder investigation built around a suspect who insisted he was elsewhere, opening a larger story about judicial apathy and expedience.
A grandmother’s account and a town’s suspicions sharpen the Mile Zero murders case
This episode centers on Renee Didier’s disappearance, as Verna Cardinal recounts the final hours she spent with her granddaughter and shares a new lead about who Renee was with that night. It also examines why one repeatedly named suspect has not faced charges despite growing suspicion in town.
A new murder shifts the Dawson Creek investigation in a darker direction
This episode follows Timothy Sawa as he closes in on Tanner Murray just as a body is found in a pickup truck in Dawson Creek. The case pulls attention toward the prime suspect, whose unusually candid perspective may shed light on the violence behind the town’s murders.
New leads reshape the search for answers in Cole Hosack’s disappearance
Cole Hosack’s disappearance takes a new turn as fresh details surface and two anonymous sources back a different version of events. Timothy Sawa follows up by retracing search efforts and watching the home of the last person seen with Hosack.
